Re Sustainability Unveils New Waste to Energy Facility in Rewa, further strengthening its position as a global Sustainable Solutions leader

Highlights

  • Re Sustainability Limited (ReSL), has strengthened the already operational of its regional Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) facility at Pahadia, by commissioning the state-of-the art Waste to Energy for the dry waste, addressing waste management needs in Rewa, Satna, and Sidhi districts, involving 28 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

  • The Integrated Regional Solid Waste Management facility encompasses the establishment of an Integrated Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Management Facility, offering door-to-door waste collection, transportation, processing, and disposal. It includes RDF, composting, recycling, and landfill operations, along with a 6 MW Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plant.
  • The facility can efficiently segregate, process and manage 600 metric tons of waste daily. The waste to energy plant itself can dispose up to 350-380 Tons per day of RDF. Approximately 2,35,000 households are covered by the project, contributing to sustainable waste management practices in the region.
  • The project operates on a build, own, operate (BOO) model, with the government providing a capital grant of Rs. 87 crores. The total project cost, inclusive of waste collection, transportation, processing, disposal, and the Waste-to-Energy plant, amounts to Rs.220 crore.
  • Future expansion plans include another 6 MW Waste to Energy capacity expansion in the next few years as waste quantities grow, showcasing a commitment to long-term environmental sustainability.

Hyderabad, India February 16, 2024: Re Sustainability Limited(ReSL), Asia’s largest integrated waste management company, inaugurated its regional Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) facility, addressing the waste management needs of the Rewa, Satna, and Sidhi districts, comprising a total of 28 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
